How to Make a Super Moist Five Flavor Homemade Cake

Welcome back friends to #MyKitchenMyRules!

How many flavors can you bake into this super moist cake? When you are baking from scratch, with all the homemade goodness, your limits are endless!

It’s a great day to lick the beaters, eat dessert first, and make one of the best cakes you will ever bake. That’s right, it’s my Fancy Five Flavor Cake. You can’t go wrong with a crazy combination of flavors like Rum, butter, coconut, vanilla and lemon. And oh my goodness it’s soooo moist!

★ INGREDIENTS ★

2 sticks of butter (1/2 lb)
1/2 cup Crisco
3 cups Dixie Crystals sugar
5 eggs, slightly beaten
3 cups White Lily Flour
1/2 tsp. Clabber Girl baking powder
1 cup milk
1 tsp. each: vanilla, rum, coconut, butter and lemon extracts

★ DIRECTIONS ★

Preheat the oven to 325°
Grease and flour the cake pan
In a small bowl, combine flour and baking powder
In a measuring cup, combine the milk and the 5 extracts
In mixing bowl, cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy
Add eggs one at a time and beat until smooth
Beat in flour mixture alternately with milk mixture
Spoon mixture into prepared pan
Bake for 1-1/2 hours, or until cake tests done
Cool 15 minutes before turning out
