Leigh Brown, author of Next Is Now, opened the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® CYA Summit, held at the Hilton Garden Inn on November 14, 2024.

OBAR built its signature CYA Summit, "Protect Yourself and Know Your Value", around a plain premise: covering your assets, your value, your brand, and your industry knowledge matters more than ever. In the association's words, Leigh kicked off the event to "inform, engage, and empower" members heading into a new era in real estate, ahead of afternoon panels on short-term rentals, scams, and legislation out of Raleigh. Know your value. Protect it. That is a message she has been delivering to agents for years, and it set the tone for the working sessions that followed.
