Grandma's Broken Glass Torte

Welcome back friends to #MyKitchenMyRules! Today I have a special occasion #dessert that is a flashback to the 50s! My Broken Glass Torte recipe was one of my Grandma’s favorites and it’s still a classic for almost any holiday with your family. All the bright colors of the Jell-O makes the torte look like a broken stained glass window!

★ INGREDIENTS ★

► Jello
4 pkg Jello (lemon, lime, strawberry, orange)

► Pineapple and Gelatin
1-1/2 pkg plain gelatin
1/4 c cold water
1 c pineapple juice, hot
1 pt heavy cream
1-1/2 c Dixie Crystals powdered sugar

► Crust
2 c graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c butter
1/2 c Dixie Crystals sugar

★ INSTRUCTIONS ★

► Jello
Dissolve each in 1-1/2 c water and let stand overnight. Then cut Jello into small squares.

► Pineapple and Gelatin
Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 c cold water. Add hot pineapple juice; let cool. Whip one-pint heavy cream with 1-1/2 c powdered sugar. Add pineapple and gelatin mix to whipped cream. Mix well. Fold in Jello.

► Crust
Pack in oblong Pyrex pan lined with Crust. Chill overnight.
