I think too many of us get caught up in the ‘I’m number one!’ version when indeed winning can be so much more.
In this year of serving NC Realtors, I’ve been all over the place-and if you know me, you know that means running every chance I get!
Saturday I had the chance to Visit Stanly County and run the Best Dam 5k (which goes out to….the Badin Dam).
🥇 The win? A visit with Peter Asciutto to talk about land usage and housing needs…a story consistent across our 100 counties.
(And I got my age group award too-a bonus!) Just gonna say-we need more champions to overcome the housing shortage-and that means educating and electing.
Then, I broke my own cardinal rule about professional dress in a showing as I FaceTimed a buyer on the way back from the race. Luckily she granted some grace as there is no flex time if you intend to win a house…
🥇 The win? My buyer won the battle and can see her next chapter starting in this cute house! (No photos of this, she is a private human)
In the evening, I joined the Catawba Valley Association of REALTORS in their annual Night Crawl 5k in Newton. WOW! A huge crowd, amazing volunteers, tons of positive energy raising money for the backpack food program in their local school.
🥇 The win? Seeing so many Realtors who put their money and their time back into others. I have seen a lot of local associations in my time but this one seriously is a family who loves at all times. (Surprised to run an age group award a second time too! And even better, Bubbalina got hers!!)
